Crystal meth is the street name for methamphetamine. It is a man made form of meth and it is also more toxic. Crystal meth

and stimulates the production of two neurotransmitters, norepinephrine and dopamine. At low doses, it boosts alertness and blocks hunger and
fatigue. At high doses it produces a "rush" feeling of euphoria that can last for more than twelve hours.
Crystal meth effects depends on a variety of factors that include, the age, dosage, body weight, how long the drug has
been taken and the method of administering. Crystal meth effects are similar to that of cocaine, except the effects last
much longer.

The euphoria may last as long as 12 hours as compared to cocaine effects that last only a few minutes. Moreover some of the major side effects
may last as long as 24 hours after the drug has being administered.
The short term effects of crystal meth are Tachycardia or bradycardia, papillary dilation, elevated blood pressure, perspiration or chills,
nausea or vomiting and evidence of weight lost.
Those who have been taken crystal meth for a long period may develop psychosis and multiple organ damage that can lead to
cardiac failure and stroke.
