If you look at the drug addiction statistics, you will find that Hydrocodone addiction and lortab addiction are not far behind the reigning crisis like drug abuse with illegal drugs.

Such illegal drugs are heroin, cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine. But you will be really surprised to know that drug abuse in form of use of hydrocodone or lortab is no less prominent in the society.

Recently the survey that was conducted in this regard revealed that hydrocodone addiction is the result of most widespread prescription drug abuse in United States. In the last decade the use has gone up by nearly four times the original standards.

The drug addiction treatment conducted by addiction centers have seen more patients suffering from hydrocodone addiction and lortab addiction in comparison to other types of addictions from which drug addicts suffer.

Countrywide drug addiction statistics confirm this position leaving no room for doubts. In fact the emergency room visits by hydrocodone addicts amounted to nearly 500% in comparison to all others.

What type of drug is Hydrocodone? How does it help drug addiction? If you have a look at the drug addiction elements and the drug addiction treatments, you will find that hydrocodone is narcotic that could bring in sort of calm, euphoric state.

The state is akin to other types of drug addiction affects that are created by heroin or morphine. This type of drug addictions has their own benefits in treatments other than the drug addiction treatment.

Yet the control is a bit loose. It is not as pronounced as in case of other drug abuse or prescription drugs like painkillers.

Lortab combines narcotic analgesic as well as hydrocodone. Hydrocodone contents in Lortab will lead to addictions due to drug abuse and leads to identical symptoms as hydrocodone addiction.
