Drug addiction is a major concern in the United States for the
past five decades.
Since the
early 60's cocaine and methamphetamine have been the two most
widely abusive substances in the United States.

While authorities have been able to clamp down on the illegal
market for methamphetamines in the late 60's, the cocaine market
was still open and thus this was the most abusive drug
available.
Today while cocaine is the number 1 drug abused, methamphetamine
has once again begun to populate the market, being the number 2
drug being abused.
The 'crave' for meth is not only among the street dwellers and
run away but also among the social class who enjoy the night
life.
There is much reason to believe that meth is easily accessible
on the streets, clubs and even in some schools across the United
States.
In a recent
survey of high schools in the USA, 4.5% of the students admitted
using methamphetamines at least once in their lifetime.
Due to the growing number of cases reported of meth addiction,
there has been an enormous amount of programs set up across the
United States, with the aim of helping to treat meth
addiction.
There are meth rehab facilities, self help meth addiction
programs, Meth addiction anonymous among others.
One program that has been proven favorable by addicts is the
self help meth addiction program.
