Phentermine and methamphetamine belongs to the same family of drug, amphetamine. Phentermine is an appetite suppressant of the amphetamine class of drugs. It works on stimulating the central nervous system and is an isomer of methamphetamine.
It is approved as an appetite suppressant to aid in the reduction of weight in obese patients when combined with exercise and diet.
